> size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">In the Zollikon seminars Heidegger gave an extraordinary contribution to the phenomenological study of health and disease. Throughout his life, this was the only chance the philosopher had to deal in depth with these questions. Disease was then determined as an ontological privation of health. Heidegger, however, did not develop an explicit concept of health. The author intends to develop to their full consequences some theses expounded in these seminars taking as reference two determinations then sketched: the essence of human health is identical with Dasein's unfolding essence in its opening to being; any disease is a "limitation of the possibility of living".
